The Wayne County Economic Development Authority, Inc. (WCEDA) was established to:
Promote, develop and expand all types of business and industrial activity.
Advance and maintain the economic basis of Wayne County.
Provide opportunities for employment and improvements for residents
Improve the standard of living for the citizens of Wayne County.
The Wayne County Economic Development Authority was created by the Wayne County Commission in 1993 to serve the county by cultivating new economic opportunities. Today our board and staff are comprised of local leaders with a vast spectrum of business, public service, and other work experience. We exist to foster economic growth and build strong communities in Wayne County and beyond.

Carol is a native of Wayne who has served as the Executive Assistant at the Wayne County Economic Development Authority for 15+ years. Her experience has made her a viable asset of the organization and a knowledgeable resource for those wishing to work or coordinate with the Wayne County EDA.
Park Ferguson – Executive Director

Park is a Wayne County native and a graduate of West Virginia University. His interest in community and economic development began during his time as a schoolteacher in Wayne County. He is an avid outdoorsman and is especially dedicated to developing the local food and outdoor recreation economies. He currently resides in Wayne, WV.
